1 · Phone performance issues
Performance Power consumption issue
Flow: 1 Ask for details → 2 Check power use per app → 3 Power-saving tips → 4 Send for repair

1Ask for details

How long does the phone last after a full charge? How much drains overnight (8 h)?

Hardware fault (normal use < 4 h, or > 40% standby loss/night) → send for repair. Internal reference only — do not quote figures to customer.

Borderline (4–6 h use / 10–40% standby) → go to step 2. NFF (> 6 h / < 10% standby) → go to step 3.

2Check power use per app

Which apps are used most? If unknown, check Settings > Battery > Power usage (last 3 days).

  • Heavy-use apps (games / video / chat): update system + app to latest; lower in-game resolution & frame rate; reduce screen brightness or auto-adjust; mute chat notifications.
  • Rarely-used / third-party apps: update system + app, then uninstall or reinstall. Remind: offline-game data lost; back up chat apps.

3Power-saving tips

  • Clear unused background apps.
  • Enable auto screen-brightness.
  • Turn off Wi-Fi / GPS / NFC / Bluetooth when unused.
  • Update system & apps to latest.
  • Enable power-saving mode in Settings > Battery (ColorOS 3.0–3.1: Settings > Battery > Power-saving Mode).

Give 1–2 tips on the call; send the full list via SMS.

4Send for repair

Bring purchase invoice, warranty card & phone to the OPPO service center. Offer appointment service; remind to back up data. See Repair & logistics.

Special scenarios

  • Cold weather: lithium-battery activity drops at low temp (ideal 0–35°C).
  • 5G drains fast: 4G stays registered alongside 5G → double drain. Turn off 5G if not needed.
  • Weak signal: Wi-Fi or cell below 2 bars forces constant searching → higher drain. Move to stronger signal.
  • ColorOS 6→7 upgrade: may cause heat/freeze/fast drain. Charge overnight & restart, or allow 2–3 days normal use to settle.
Performance Overheating issue
Flow: 1 Check scenario → 2 Third-party app → 3 Tips → 4 Send for repair

1Check the scenario

Hot on standby (charging? how many background apps?) or hot while using a specific program?

  • Hot while charging: higher charge current runs warmer — normal, no safety risk. Use original charger & cable.
  • Many background apps: they consume CPU & accumulate heat. Close unused apps.
  • Still hot 10 min after clearing background: update system/apps; if unresolved → send for repair.

2Third-party app

Which apps used recently? Check Settings > Battery > Power usage.

  • Games / video / chat: update system + app; lower resolution & frame rate; reduce brightness; mute notifications.

3Tips

  • Lower screen brightness / resolution / refresh rate (use auto).
  • Avoid hot environments (direct sun, in-car, near heaters).
  • Clear background apps & turn off unused Wi-Fi/GPS/NFC/Bluetooth.
  • Update system & apps to latest.
  • Heat while using during charging is normal; for best experience use after charging finishes.

4Send for repair

Invoice + warranty card + phone to service center. See Repair & logistics.

Special scenarios

  • Charger overheating: non-original chargers have unstable voltage/current. Use original; avoid charging in hot or poorly-ventilated spots. Severe charger heat → bring charger/power bank in for inspection.
  • Weak signal: weak Wi-Fi/cell (< 2 bars) raises transmit power → heat. Use stronger signal.
  • On-screen heat warnings: hotspot off / brightness reduced / auto-shutdown are battery-protection behaviours. Let the device cool before use.
Performance Charging issue
Flow: 1 Scenario → 2 Charge speed → 3 Flash-charge icon → 4 Charge time → 5 Charger damaged? → 6 Speed tips → 7 Repair

1Check scenario — is a charging symbol shown?

  • No symbol (won't charge): swap charger & cable; restart phone; if still nothing after both → send for repair.
  • Symbol shows but slow / won't fill: go to step 2.

2Original charger & cable?

Non-original → unstable voltage/current; replace with original. Original flash charger → step 3. Original non-flash → step 4.

3Flash-charge (VOOC) icon shown?

  • No VOOC logo: flash charge won't engage outside 15–35°C — charge at moderate temp; restart & update system; try another cable/charger.
  • VOOC logo present: go to step 4.

4Check charge time

Internal reference only — do not quote to customer. VOOC 1.0–4.0 ≈ 1 h 40 m · SuperVOOC 1.0/2.0 ≈ 60 m · normal 3–5 h · fast 2.5–3 h.

Within expected time → explain & give speed tips (step 6). Longer than expected → step 5.

5Charger damaged?

Cross-check with new adaptor & cable. Charges fine → replace accessories. Still slow → step 7.

6Tips to improve charge speed

  • Charge when battery is low.
  • Charge in standby (using while charging raises internal temp → slows current).
  • Charge at moderate ambient temperature.
  • Unplug once full to protect the battery.

7Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Performance System hanging issue
Flow: 1 Scenario → 2 App check → 3 Tips → 4 Repair

1Check scenario

Hangs all the time → go to step 3 (Tips). Hangs in a specific app → step 2.

2Application check

  • Heavy games (PUBG, Arena of Valor): lower resolution (Ultra HD → Balanced → Smooth); lower frame rate; turn off anti-aliasing/shadow effects; enable smooth-adaptive; update game & system; reinstall.
  • Chat apps (WhatsApp, Line): clear cached data (warn: history lost); update app.
  • Other apps: clear cache/data (warn: data lost); restart; update app & system; reinstall.

3Performance tips

  • Turn off power-saving mode (it throttles CPU).
  • Clear infrequently-used background apps (they hold RAM).
  • Update system & apps.
  • Free up storage — low space causes freezes.

Send detailed steps via SMS.

4Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Special scenarios

  • One app frozen (screen stuck): reinstall latest from Play Store; if unresolved → service center.
  • ColorOS 6→7 upgrade: may heat/freeze/drain. Charge overnight & restart, or allow 2–3 days to settle.
Performance Crash / black screen / restart / no boot / stuck on OPPO logo
Flow: 1 Scenario → 2 App troubleshooting → 3 Repair

1Has the phone stopped turning on?

Yes (won't power on / stuck on logo / reboot loop):

  • Check for stuck keys or liquid damage → if present, go to service center.
  • Charge 15 min, then force-restart: ColorOS 3.0+ hold Power + Volume Up 10 s; below 3.0 hold Power 10 s.
  • Still stuck → step 3 (Recovery-mode data clear warns data loss).

No (black screen / freeze / auto-restart) → step 2.

2Which app was in use?

  • Several third-party apps: update system; clear excess background apps; free storage (keep > 10%); review recently-installed apps.
  • Specific third-party app: follow the third-party crash flow — see Third-party application issue.
  • System app(s): update system & app; grant app permissions (long-press icon > App info > Permissions); clear app data.
  • Random black screen / restart: clear background apps; free storage; uninstall recently-added third-party apps.

3Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

2 · Signal & network issues
Network Weak / no / unstable signal
Flow: 1 Data network settings → 2 System version → 3 Location → 4 Repair

1Data network settings

Is mobile data switched on?

  • Yes: reset access point name (SIM card & mobile data > SIM > Access point name > ⋮ > Reset); try another SIM to rule out carrier.
  • No: go to step 2.

2System version

Update via Settings > Software Update — new versions improve network search & regional compatibility.

3Place of use

  • Specific spots (bus/classroom/stadium/basement/garage/elevator/high floor/vehicle/train/HSR, thick-walled or metal buildings, tunnels, subway): leave the area, restart or toggle airplane mode.
  • All places: cross-check SIM & handset — SIM fault → carrier; handset fault → service center.

4Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Network Mobile data issue
Flow: 1 Scenario → 2 Location → 3 Metal case → 4 Data settings → 5 Repair

1All apps or a specific app?

  • Specific app: check the app's network permission — SIM Card & Mobile Data > Data Usage > Network Permissions → set to “WiFi and mobile data”. Compare on another phone; if app-wide, it's likely a server issue; if only on this phone, restart or reinstall (offline games lose data; back up chats).
  • All apps: go to step 2.

2Place of use

In weak-signal spots (as listed under Signal) leave the area, restart or toggle airplane mode.

3Metal protective case?

Metal cases shield/interfere with signal — remove and retest.

4Data network settings

  • If data is on but failing, reset access point name (SIM card & mobile data > SIM > Access point name > ⋮ > Reset); try another SIM. If off, switch it on.

5Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Special scenario — international roaming

  • Confirm the data-roaming switch is on.
  • Confirm roaming service is activated with the carrier. If yes, check the phone supports the local band (KB search: function parameter table, network frequency band). If no, contact the carrier.
Network Slow mobile data
Flow: 1 App scope → 2 High-speed data used up? → 3 Metal case → 4 Location → 5 Repair

1All apps or specific?

Specific: likely the app's server — compare on another phone; reinstall/restart. All: step 2.

2High-speed allowance used up?

Some “unlimited” SIMs throttle after the high-speed cap (≈ 1 Mbps / 128 KB/s). Add a high-speed pack or wait for the next billing cycle.

3Metal protective case?

Remove and retest.

4Place of use

Weak-signal spot → leave area, restart/toggle airplane mode. All places → cross-check SIM & handset.

5Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Network Call failed
Flow: 1 Scenario → 2 Signal strength → 3 Repair

1Check scenario

  • All places: remove metal case; check whether either party set call restriction / harassment interception (turn off & retest); restart or toggle airplane mode; cross-check SIM (SIM fault → carrier; phone fault → service center).
  • Specific weak-signal place: go to step 2.

2Signal strength

3+ bars: confirm VoLTE is on & working; cross-check SIM. Below 3 bars: follow the Signal issue flow.

3Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Special scenario — VoLTE HD voice unavailable

  • Phone supports VoLTE (check KB)?
  • Local carrier VoLTE coverage exists?
  • SIM has VoLTE service enabled?
  • VoLTE switch turned on? If all met but calls still abnormal → service center.
Network Call sound (no sound / buzzing)
Flow: 1 Scenario → 2 Signal strength → 3 Repair

1Check scenario

  • Remove metal case.
  • Try hands-free / speaker: if it fixes the sound, the receiver/MIC may be faulty → service center.
  • Still bad on speaker: if only with one contact, it's likely their phone/network; otherwise restart / toggle airplane mode, then send for repair if unresolved.

2Signal strength

3+ bars: confirm VoLTE; cross-check SIM. Below 3 bars: follow Signal issue.

VoLTE temporary workaround: if abnormal on VoLTE, turn VoLTE off; if abnormal off VoLTE, turn it on.

3Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Network Cannot receive SMS verification code
Flow: 1 Blocking mode → 2 Third-party app → 3 SIM cross-check → 4 Repair

1Blocking mode

Disable blocking in Settings > Privacy > Block & filter and retry.

2Third-party app

Test on another phone. If no phone receives it, it's an app-side issue → report to the app. If only this phone fails, reinstall the app (data cleared) & restart; if unresolved → service center.

3SIM cross-check

Works in another SIM → SIM issue. Otherwise step 4.

4Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Network Cannot send / receive SMS
Flow: 1 Scenario → 2 SIM cross-check → 3 Repair

1Send or receive?

  • Can't send: verify the recipient number; restart / toggle airplane mode.
  • Can't receive: check harassment-blocking / blacklist / Do-Not-Disturb (Settings > Privacy > Harassment blocking > Information blocking; Settings > Do not disturb); restart / toggle airplane mode.
  • Neither: likely signal — leave the area, restart / toggle airplane mode.

2SIM cross-check

Works in another SIM → SIM-specific, contact carrier. Otherwise step 3.

3Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

3 · Wireless connection issues
Wireless Wi-Fi cannot be searched or connected
Flow: 1 Metal case → 2 Scenario → 3 Failure prompt → 4 Repair

1Metal protective case?

Remove and retest.

2Not searchable, or found but won't connect?

  • No hotspots found: toggle airplane mode; restart; on ColorOS 5.0+ restore system settings.
  • Some hotspots missing: Wi-Fi may be hidden or on an unsupported band — unhide in router, or switch band (a 2.4G-only phone can't see 5G). KB: check model parameters for 5G Wi-Fi support.
  • Found but won't connect: go to step 3.

3What's the failure prompt?

  • Wrong password: check case/characters; confirm the SSID/password hasn't changed.
  • Access denied: check router MAC-address filtering (turn off); cross-check another Wi-Fi.
  • Network full / no IP / disabled / timeout / no prompt: restart router & phone, reconnect; cross-check another Wi-Fi. (“Full” = connection limit reached; “disabled” = network-side fault → carrier.)
  • Won't auto-connect: stay in range; re-enter SSID & password; restart router/phone; cross-check another Wi-Fi.

4Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Wireless Wi-Fi connected but no internet / slow
Flow: 1 Metal case → 2 Scenario → 3 Repair

1Metal protective case?

Remove and retest.

2Specific or all Wi-Fi?

  • All Wi-Fi: toggle airplane mode; restart; ColorOS 5.0+ restore system settings.
  • Some Wi-Fi: stay in range; busy public hotspots (airport/mall) are slow from too many devices.

3Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Special scenarios

  • Wi-Fi + Bluetooth together: both share the 2.4 GHz antenna and can interfere — turn one off as needed.
  • Public Wi-Fi login page won't load: reopen the browser or use a different one.
  • Auto disconnect/reconnect: pick a strong signal & stay in range; switch network if too many devices; toggle Wi-Fi; if it recovers, update system.
Wireless Bluetooth cannot be found / paired / connected
Flow: 1 System version → 2 Scenario → 3 Repair

1System version

Update via Settings > Software Update.

2Can't find, or can't pair/connect?

  • Can't find: turn on Bluetooth & make the device discoverable; stay within ~10 m; if using a third-party app, enable its Bluetooth & location permissions.
  • Can't pair/connect: disconnect other paired devices; clear the paired list; restart phone & the Bluetooth device.

3Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Special scenario — car connection

  • Confirm the car supports auto-connect. If other phones auto-connect: clear the car's pairing list, unpair on the phone, re-pair, and choose “Yes” to priority connection. If no phone auto-connects, the car may not support it or isn't compatible.
Wireless Bluetooth audio abnormal (silent / freezing)
Flow: 1 System version → 2 Sound settings → 3 Cross-check phones → 4 Repair

1System version

Update via Settings > Software Update.

2Sound settings

Enable phone & media audio: Settings > Bluetooth > paired devices > (device) > phone audio & media audio on.

3Cross-check with other phones

Faulty on other phones too → the Bluetooth device itself; replace or report to its maker. Fine elsewhere → restart your phone; if still bad, step 4.

4Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

Special scenarios

  • Wi-Fi + Bluetooth together: shared 2.4 GHz antenna can cause intermittent audio — turn off Wi-Fi temporarily.
  • Interference sources: metal, plating, magnetic cases, microwaves — remove the metal case or change environment.
Wireless GPS / positioning issue
Flow: 1 Metal case → 2 GPS switch → 3 Scenario → 4 App → 5 Repair

1Metal protective case?

Remove and retest.

2GPS switch on?

Enable location: Settings > Other Settings > Devices and Privacy > Location Information.

3Place of use

Poor GPS in dense high-rises, indoors, cars, tunnels, under/over bridges, mountains. Try open areas (squares, roads, parks).

4All apps or specific?

  • All navigation apps: toggle GPS off/on; restart.
  • Specific app: enable its location permission (Settings > Application Management > (app) > App permission > Location); update or switch navigation app.

5Send for repair

See Repair & logistics.

4 · Application issues
Apps Third-party application issue
Covers: download/install · crash/no-response/black-screen · network · notifications · camera

Download / install

  • Can't download: unstable network → switch network or use Wi-Fi; check for background auto-updates in Google Play (Play Store > Settings > My apps & games > Updates); download from Play Store — an “incompatible” prompt means the app doesn't fit the model/system.
  • Can't install: free storage; download from Play Store; cross-check on another phone (all phones fail → app-side; only this one → compatibility).
  • Can't uninstall: apps from unofficial sources may resist removal — restart & retry; if blocked, back up & factory reset, or visit service center. Built-in system apps can't be uninstalled by design.

Crash / no response / black screen

  • Crashes / stops: compatibility → reinstall latest from Play Store; grant required permissions.
  • Black screen on open: reinstall latest; clear background apps or restart; switch to Wi-Fi if network unstable.

Network

Login fails: switch to Wi-Fi; the app server may be congested — retry later or contact the app's support.

Notifications

  • One app silent: enable in-app alerts; enable OS notification permission (Settings > Notification & Status Bar > Notification Management > (app) > Allow Notifications); logging in on iPad/PC simultaneously can mute phone alerts.
  • All apps silent: check silent mode & Do-Not-Disturb.

Camera (in third-party apps)

  • Preview fails / slow: enable camera permission; free storage.
  • Can't capture / save: clear the third-party camera's data (warn: data lost); update to latest version.
